The Larchmont Village BID needed to ensure its 10-year renewal by the City of Los Angeles. By creating a detailed summary of the BID’s activities and budget for the voting property members, meeting with key constituents and advising the BID’s Board, we secured unprecedented passage of the BID, including its first line item for branding/marketing. We then created the BID’s first mission statement, digital brand identity, and logo. We have since worked with various local partners to ensure Larchmont Village’s unique positioning in Los Angeles, that it has appropriate signage and banners, and positive relationships with retailers, community based organizations, and neighbors.

We manage the City’s pilot solar trash and recycling program on Larchmont, and have created renewed interest in the BID by both property owners and merchants via e-mail marketing. We ensure the BID’s ongoing relationship with our City councilmember is strong and transparent.

Each BID event we’ve devised – like a utility box art competition and holiday window contest – has been supported by a media component, garnering coverage in key local media like RackedLA, Larchmont Buzz, Larchmont Chronicle, Larchmont Ledger, Los Angeles magazine, Hollywood Reporter, and ABC-TV. We are active participants in monthly meetings of the BID Consortium (representing 40+ BIDs) to ensure Larchmont's interests are represented and key learnings, particularly legislative, are shared with our property owners and merchants. Because of our successes and demonstrated BID leadership, Rebecca has transitioned to co-executive director of the BID so now assumes administrative and managerial functions as well.
